Good Afternoon, I have been pretty busy this Sunday. I woke up early to cook a big breakfast for my family then started research on my next big project. (No, I haven't started my button project just yet but that post is coming soon...)
I want to build a computer.
No, this isn't a random idea I just decided to run with (although I do admit there are quite a few of those). I love to play PC games. Mostly multiplayer RPGs (role playing games). The issue is my computers can never hold up to the mods and expansion packs I try to incorporate. Now while I am sure that I can buy a laptop that may meet my specifications. I have yet to do so and this is the perfect opportunity to try something new in regards to meeting my computer needs.
In all fairness, I must admit I have no clue how to make a computer. So, this whole project is going to be a learning process. One I am really excited about. This summer I spent a lot of time watching Youtube gamers to see their computer setups. One blogger in particular allowed viewers to watch the making of her computer. The quality of her game play is amazing. Well amazing-- compared to mine.
At the moment, I am using:
ASUS Laptop
Intel (R) Core(TM) i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60GHz 2.30GHz
64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
My gameplay is so glitchy.
Let's take Minecraft for example, unmodded I can play fairly well. I only have issues really when I have a ton of applications open at the same time, but how long can you play unmodded Minecraft. When it is modded I had so many issues with memory spikes. these were mainly due to issues with the coding of some of my mods. After some TLC, I was able to fix most of the issues stemming from the mods. My gameplay has not improved, it lags beyond belief. I would love to be able to install some larger game sets like World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls and other MMORPGs but if I can't play Minecraft singleplayer on Normal mode what are the chances.
I'm really looking forward to this project. Post in the comments if you have any advice or questions.
Time for me to start some researching!
Have a lazy sunday!
